PSL GFD

Glass Filter Dryer

(Patent Pending)

The PSL Glass Lab Filter Dryer (GFD) is an innovative piece of laboratory/pilot plant equipment designed by PSL to celebrate 21 years in business.

PSL are exhibiting this new technology at the INTERPHEX, Japan (June 30th –July 2nd 2010) exhibition.

The GFD is a miniature version of a production filter dryer, allowing easy lab scale filtration and drying with the same reliability and benefits as the PSL full size filter dryer products. The different sizes of GFD available mean that there will be a GFD to meet any laboratory’s needs. The GFD is jacketed, allowing the researcher to obtain valuable information on how a process will actually work in production early on in the development stage. Problems can be identified and solved before scale up and data, in relation to the safety of a process, can be obtained. This valuable information enables a company to reduce development times and get products to market faster, more than justifying the initial costs of purchasing this equipment.

The GFD has a unique removable filter basket that ensures easy recovery of dried product at maximum yield, with an added advantage of batch homogeneity and easy cleaning benefits to the user.

This modern laboratory apparatus works on a vacuum and has a heated jacket for drying and a removable filtration basket to collect the product. This technology supersedes old style laboratory filtration and drying equipment such as the Buchner funnel and tray dryer.

Alongside these features and benefits, the GFD allows full process visibility - development that you can see!
